The Studio

Photo of our Live Room here at Developing Creative Music

Built in the former piggery, the studio nestles in the Herefordshire hillside, with a spacious live room, large console room, and an area for artists to relax and monitor their work. The studio is a state-of-the-art recording facility with a lot of great retro gear, and is fully equipped for 5.1 surround sound. The days can be as long as you like (within reason) as we tend not to look at the clock, and when you need time-out from the studio feel free to wander the peaceful four acre grounds.

The desk is the wonderfully warm sounding Audient ASP 8024 with a Mac Pro running Logic X. For that valve sound we have a Vac Rac 4000, TL dual valve compressor and a couple of SE Gemini valve mics. Our mic cupboard also contains a pair of AKG 414's, a Neumann 87, Neumann TLM 103, a matched pair Neumann KM75i's, AKG 514's, Calrecs and all the other usual suspects.

A DW kit is available along with a Reason and Fender amps free of charge. congas and bongos and percussion box also available for the latin in you.

A three pedal Steinbach upright piano and Hammond L22 with Leslie is our non-software option, and our soft-synths include Komplete 8, Atmospheres, Retro organs, concert Grand pianos, Vienna and Miraslav orchestral libraries, LA scoring strings and Kontact 5 with large sample library.

Reverbs are handled by Lexicon with full Waves plugins and a whole variety of software dynamics.

Dynaudio M1s for near field monitoring and Genelec monitors for surround sound, including SPL 2489 surround sound controller.

Our vast sample library is also great for creating the large orchestral arrangements and soundscaping required in some of the more contemporary projects.

The Studio is available for hire with or without an engineer, for a quote please call for details.
